GB Boxers set to compete in this week’s Socikas tournament in Lithuania
SEVEN members of the GB Boxing squad will this week compete at the Socikas tournament in Kaunas, Lithuania from 21st-23rd March 2024.
The team is made up of all male boxers and includes light-heavyweight Ramtin Musah who has taken gold at his last two competitions.
Most recently winning gold at the World Boxing Cup: GB Open in Sheffield back in January having done the same at the Tammer at the end of last year.
Like Musah, Isaac Okoh has also won back-to-back gold medals in his last two outings.
The cruiserweight was twice crowned champion at the Boxam firstly in November 2023 as well as February 2024.
Elsewhere, flyweight Hamza Mehmood and light-middleweight Harris Akbar are back in action for the first time this year whilst light-welterweights Reese Lynch and Joe Tyers are also set to compete in Kaunas.
Completing the squad is flyweight Scott Richards who will be part of the Welsh boxing team for this competition.
All seven boxers will represent England, Scotland, and Wales at the Socikas. The full team is:
