Team of GB Boxers travel to Finland to compete in this week’s Gee Bee tournament

A team of GB Boxers have this week travelled to Helsinki, Finland to compete in this week’s Gee Bee tournament from 11th-14th April 2024.

The travelling squad is made up of three women and two men and includes confirmed Paris 2024 Olympian Rosie Eccles who will be competing for the first time since picking up her bronze medal at the European Games last and with securing her quota place in Paris.

Also joining Rosie and the rest of the team is another confirmed Olympian for Paris 2024 as Cindy Ngamba makes a swift return to action having secured her Olympic status at the qualifying event in Busto Arsizio, Italy last month.

Wales’ Scott Richards as well as Lucy Kings-Wheatley both picked up silver medals at their last respective competitions, Socikas and World Boxing Cup, and will be hoping to go one step further this time out.

Completing the squad is light-flyweight Kelsey Oakley and light-welterweight Cameron McKay.
